Soft Vanilla Sponge Cake

 


Ingredients:

1. All purpose flour/Maida 1 cup
2. Milk powder 1/4 cup
3. Baking powder 1 tsp
4. Baking soda 1/4 tsp
5. Milk 1/2 cup
6. Egg 4
7. Sugar 3/4 cup
8. Vnilla Essence 1 tsp
9. Oil 1/4 cup
10. Salt 1/4 tsp


Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven(convectional) at 160 °C for 10 minutes.
  • Sift flour, milk powder, baking powder and baking soda to a bowl. Repeat twice or thrice. 
  • Crack four eggs to bowl. Add sugar and vanilla essence. Beat until fluffy. 
  • Add sugar gradually and beat well. Add oil to it and combine.
  • Add the flour mix and milk to the wet ingredients gradually. Overmixing will make the cake hard.
  • Pour the batter to the baking tray and tap gently for 5 to 10 times.
  • Bake at 120°C for 30 minutes in the pre heated oven. Check whether it's baked well or not with a skewer. It should come out clean, with no streaks of batter
Soft and spongy cake is ready now 😀
